Cybertron Roadway Set
My roadway paint up is made out of a Hot Wheels "snap track". I have no clue what the real set was called. the three basic
colors of the set were grey (the road plates and brickwork), blue (signs and the gaurd houses), and orange (tollway roof,
other parts).
Yep, that's right...I'm not a pro at painting, but I can get the point across. These are the basic colors I ended up using: Silver
for the road, Black for the brickwork, white for the gaurdhouse and a few other pieces, red and blue for the tollway roof.
Here's a full shot of the track in a compact set-up. The nice thing about this set is the many ways it can be put together. It
can fit most TF's but is suitable for mini-bots and even better for WST and micro masters.
You can see the tollway here and how the coloration is. I had a tough time thinking of colors for the roof because I do not
feel that it realy is anything that fits into the TF mythos well, but for any other set it works just fine. Maybe it could be a
snanner for safety like in an airport?
I plan on detailing this wrecked piece of roadway but for now it's good as it stands. I tend to display this piece as the bridge.
Another fun deal about the track is this overpass option.
This is an optional piece that holds the bridge up. I only have 2 good ones out of four, so I must find a better way to
stabalize the bridge.
Here I have 2 of the Trottlebots in a race. Without the supports, the bridge would bow just a little under the weight. This
gives you an idea of the weight limits of this section. Micromasters would not be a problem.
And here is Goldbug laying down rubber! Ok, it's part of the track but it looks great. This set is both maily for display on a
grand scale for those who have room. A great layout allows for a medium to large open space in the middle where bases
and armies can be set up. The roadway being where the battles take place (the road plates have several damaged areas
that fit in great with this theme). Just Imagine Unicron hovering over the roadway with an army of WST around his feet...pure
bliss!
